Edea > Fit and sizing Fit and sizing | Istruzioni calzata e taglie
The boot for skating is a technical tool, hence the fitting has to be very accurate. The correct size boot assures the comfort and enhances the skating performance. The non-correct size boot causes severe problems to your feet and vanishes most of your skating efforts. The definition of your size has to be assisted by a specialized technician. The sizing of the boots EDEA are in millimeters, in step of 5 millimeters per size, for maximum accuracy..
As an indication, to check your size you step into the boot, without lacing and push your foot all the way to the toe, until you touch the top toe. This way you are able to check how much room is left on the heel area. Usually, in a growing foot you should leave a space of 5 to 10 millimeters. In a stable foot you may leave a space of max 5 millimeters.
A boot too large, lead to premature deformation, affects your skating performance and may create injuries to your foot support. We suggest to use socks in microfibre or any smooth absorbent material to reduce the friction with the boot lining. The socks should not have any seam on the toe area to avoid any pressure on the toe fingers.
